Turn the Camera on a Classmate
This was made for a project where we were to make a one-minute video featuring something our partner was passionate about. I feel that this is one of my best works, and I enjoyed editing the match-cuts in the sequences to get the timing just right.
Lab Sequence
This was made in an hour during lab, where we first practiced using cameras, elements of video, sequences, and match cuts. It was made with the help of a partner, who is featured in the video.
Kidsports
This was a three-person project created for class. We were assigned a client - Kidsports - and were to show the strengths of the organization in a way that would make the viewer inclined to utilize their services. We were required to incorporate both photo and video. I conducted the interview and edited both the audio and the visuals.

Craft Center at the EMU
I did this piece as a short feature on the new craft center in the renovated student union. I filmed, edited, and wrote the script for this segment, which was a part of the weekly episode of Duck TV News.
Reporting for Duck TV
This is my first time reporting on camera. My segment can be seen from 9:19 - 10:47. I shot all the footage in the package and wrote the script.
Audio Slideshow on Local Farming
This was made for a class assignment where we were to compile a one-minute audio segment while showing pictures of our subject in their environment. I was happy with the storyline; however, I was not pleased with the quality of the audio, for this was recorded in a barn and there was a tractor in the background.

Writing

Election Results Spark Curriculum Changes
This is the second story I wrote for my Reporting I class. I attended the event, wrote an initial draft, received feedback from my teacher and  met one-on-one with her, incorporated the feedback into my second draft, and received feedback again. The final result is displayed here.
University Professors Provide Insight on Presidential Debates
This was the first piece I wrote in my Reporting I class, and my first experience with this type of writing. We were assigned to attend this event and write a piece on it. After writing my first draft, I received feedback from my teacher, edited the piece, turned in a second draft, received more feedback, and edited it again. What is displayed here is the final result.
Turning Point
This piece was written for my introductory journalism class. We picked a topic we were interested in (mine was local farming), and were to write a piece about a person who had a turning point in their life that related to our topic.

Design

Creative Brief
This creative brief was made for a journalism class introducing us to client work, and was intended to be an overview of the company's assets and mission. This was my first project created with InDesign.
